Privacy policy

Who we are
Surveys on this site are run by GGF Africa, which is responsible for your answers (the “data controller”). Contact us about your data at [privacy contact email] or [GGF Africa postal address].
Survey purposes only
We use your answers only for the purposes of the survey you're taking, as described at the top of that survey. We don't sell them, use them for marketing, or use them for anything unrelated to the survey. Results may be reported in summary form, without identifying you.
What we collect
- Your answers to the survey questions.
- If you use a personal invitation link: the details we already hold for that invitation (for example your name) are linked to your response.
- When you started and submitted the survey, whether your response was sent later because you were offline, and your consent.
- Your IP address, used briefly to block automated abuse. It isn't stored with your answers.
Why we're allowed to (legal basis)
We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box before you submit. Taking part is voluntary. You can skip optional questions, stop at any time, and withdraw your consent later (see “Your rights”).
On your device
While you fill in a survey, your answers are saved in your browser so a refresh or lost connection doesn't lose them. If you're offline when you submit, your response waits there until it can be sent. It's removed from your device once it's been sent. We don't use tracking cookies or analytics, and this site loads nothing from other companies.
Who can see your answers
Only GGF Africa staff who need them for the survey, and [the client or partner organisation a survey is run for, where applicable]. Our hosting provider stores the data for us under contract, in [AWS region, e.g. af-south-1 (Cape Town)].
How long we keep it
We keep survey responses for [retention period, e.g. 24 months after the survey closes], then delete or anonymise them.
How we protect it
Responses are sent over encrypted connections, stored on access-controlled systems, and only available to people who need them.
Your rights
Under Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07] you can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how it's used, and withdraw your consent. Email [privacy contact email] with the reference shown after you submitted. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Authority (POTRAZ).
Disclaimer
Surveys are provided to collect information and are not advice of any kind. Questions are written by GGF Africa or the organisation running the survey. We aim to keep this site available and accurate, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Taking part in a survey doesn't create any obligation for you or for us beyond what this policy describes.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Changes don't apply to responses you've already given without asking you first.
